Where to find the best deal on a washer/dryer?
Our old washer/dryer is on the last leg of it's journey and my wife and I are looking for best options. Consumer reports gave really good reviews to one of the Frigidare (front loader) models and the washer is listed for aprox. $650 with matching dryer for about $550.
Where is the best place to look for deals on these things, and is their any budge room with the larger dealers (Lowe's, Sear's, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc…)?

If there are dryers that exist that do not vent outside, I have not yet heard of them.
Now, There have been times we had a dryer that vented inside, but it is difficult to control the dust and lint in the air - - - it is very small particles and lots of them!!! At first we tried used nylon leg hose on the end of the dryer duct, and that catches about 98% of the lint, and you have to change it pretty regularly. What I ended up doing is building a small wooden box with a hypo-allergenic furnace filter on each side, and the nylon hose inside. That catches 100% of the dust and lint! The dryer duct blows into the nylon hose, and then the air flows through the furnace filters and catches all of the dust.

I have a stackable washer and dryer, and I hate it. Although it saves space for us, it's disgusting. There is a large rubber seal on the washer that catches water and mold grows in there. If I don't do laundry everyday I have to run a hot wash cycle with bleach to clean it out before I wash any clothes. And you have to leave the washer door open when not in use or you will get a bad smell in there. We have already decided that whenever we move we are NOT getting another stackable washer and dryer. But if you still insist on getting one we have Kenmore, they were pretty affordable.

Both Lowe's and Best buy have a price match plus 10% if you find a better deal within an alloted time frame of buying your appliances with them. I love the shiny and new but have you concidered looking at scratch and dent type places. they dent or scratch may be on the side that you would never see! You never know until you go to look. I would think there is conciderable discounts on these types of items.
